Sabhaile was founded by Gavin Martin Byrneand was inspired by the memories of his childhood growing up in Dublin and being raised by his grandparents. Sa bhaile means "at home" in Irish and is the name of Gavin's grandparents home which he spent the best years of his childhood and to this day still holds very close to his heart.

His grandfathers love of candles, coupled with his grandmothers love of all things Christmas and the precious time spent with her brought the wonderful idea of bringing these loving memories to life in the form of a candle. Starting with the scent Nollaig. Nollaig means “Christmas” in
Irish. Nollaig blends the sweet aroma of cinnamon, pinch of clove and
nutmeg a combination that warms any room and creates that loving cosy atmosphere of Christmas in the Irish household. From here Sabhaile has continued to grow and become adrored by customers around the world.
